Bandung: Indonesia's Factory Outlet City

When a travelling Juan says he’s been to Indonesia, one thing that hits the mind first is BALI. Bali is a very famous tourist destination known for a beach paradise. Jumping to a much closer view of Indonesia, it is also home to a city filled with good quality clothing at around half the price compared to our hometown.

Bandung is the capital of the West Java province that is said to be the second largest metropolitan area in Indonesia. It may be hard to picture so let’s put it this way; imagine Forbe’s Park in Makati City to be larger and add up some shops, stores, and buildings. Bandung itself sports a comfy cool weather similar to our very own Tagaytay or Baguio.

And now with the goods! Where in Bandung specifically can we find the treasure fashion chest of good cheap clothing a.k.a factory outlets? It’s in the area called “Dago” which actually is a long stretch with hotels, banks, and sorts. I personally got the chance to go to the area where the clothes for the hip youngsters are. Stores often have offers, aside from 10% -70% discounts, like 4 shirts for 100,000 Rupiah (or around 480Php). As for the regularly priced clothes, some range in the price that is almost a bit the same in our shops, but a few steps back cheaper.

Here are some of the stores.

Exploring Dago area is better off done by walking as it would bring good rewards not only to your money, but also to your health… hey! Sexy toned legs!
