There's an ongoing contest by South East Asian Airlines (SEAIR) that shall send seven lucky bloggers to experience Batanes next year.
Look here.
And here.
OK. I can't calm down now. I just don't know where to start. Batanes had been my dream land since my aunt gave me a coffee table book when I was still a kid. The book featured the many protected areas in the Philippines and Batanes got featured first because its name starts with letter B. Other places included Palawan and some boondocks in Mindanao and it was also the first time that I saw a picture of the amazing Pitcher plants like this.
But Batanes.
Oh! Batanes.
Only Batanes glued my eye on the spot and awaken my childhood innocence to the real beauty of the Philippines and the joy of seeing the places you only see in pictures - for real.
OK. I've never booked a flight in SEAIR.
Pity me. Hahaha!
Honestly. I didn't know there is a direct flight to Batanes from Manila. I thought that my dream of seeing the Ivatans and wearing their super cool headdresses is not an easy dream to fulfill.
Not until I visited their website and "Liked" their page on Facebook.
It changed everything.
In fact today is the deadline of the contest. But win or lose, I know now where to book my flight shall I finally get the chance (and the budget) to experience Batanes in the future. Yehey!
It's good to know that SEAIR also have flights to Clark (Angeles), Tablas (Romblon), Caticlan (Boracay) and Cebu.
The airline was also recently awarded Gold Brand by the Gold Brands Council Philippines for brand image appeal and trust and market acceptance. Super cool!
Does this mean more travel blog entries for me next year?
Yes. Definitely. Later I will inquire how to apply to their Adventure Club.
To know more about SEAIR and their travel packages, you may visit their website and their Facebook page. You may also call the SEAIR Contact Center at +632 849 0100.
Hay. Wow! Pilipinas, kay ganda mo talaga. (Philippines, you are indeed beautiful.)
